Running Notepad as As Administrator
Sometimes one need to edit file like the hosts file in Windows 7 64bit. The Hosts file is normally located at c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc in which you can use the Notepad to edit and save it once you are done with it. But in Windows 7 64bit, you won't be able to save it if the Notepad is not run with Administrator privilege. In win 32 environment you can easily bypass this using the Edit.com program but there's no edit program in the 64 environment.
So just go the start and type Notepad in the Search field and right click the Notepad program and click "Run as Administrator" like shown on the picture above.
